The Nepali army has made clearing the ghats for the 
important festival of Tarai. The team of Ranbhim 
Gan in Jaleshwor Municipality, Prakauly Byarek, did 
the cleaning.

On the request of the community the mutual harmony
between the community and the Nepalese army, the 
team of Ranbhim Gan of the army assisted the community in
sanitation.

The Chhath festival, which is considered as an important 
festival of the Tarai, is celebrated on various banks of 
rivers and lakes. In the bank of river and pond, many of
the varieties of fruits brought to the sun to be offered
as offerings are kept in the pier and also in the vault.
But since most of the bank are dirty before the time of 
the chhat so most of the bank of river and pond are busy
cleaning.

The community of Buddhijivi Chowk, ward no-2 of Jaleshwar 
Muncipality has successfully made sanitation widespread 
with the help of Nepali Army. The garbage in the pond has
een cleared with the participation of MP Rani Sharma Tiwari,
Ward President Varun Dahal, Ranbim Gan of the Nepalese Army,
local residents and journalists.

Locals are happy that the pond and pier have started to look 
clean after about four tractors of garbage dumped by the locals.
They have now said they will launch awareness campaigns to avoid
waste in the lake and keep their places and rivers clean.
